Dominic and theMagic Passport

This is Dominic. Dominic loves travel books about faraway places. He can spend hours exploring colorful countries, sweeping oceans, towering mountains, and bustling cities.

Every night, Dominic dreams of tropical beaches, wild animals, mysterious jungles, and busy cities filled with exciting adventures.

But there’s just one problem: Dominic has never been to any of these places. “One day,” he whispers, “I’ll see the whole world.”

One morning, Dominic receives a strange-looking package in the mail. The box looks as if it has traveled around the whole world! Dominic quickly opens it. Inside, he finds a small blue passport and a letter written on an old typewriter. He carefully unfolds the note and begins to read:

Dear Dominic, Here is a very special gift, just for you. This is a magic passport that has taken me all around the world. I have seen beautiful places, met wonderful people, and discovered amazing things. But now, it is your turn! Take good care of it, and remember that no matter how far you travel, you are always in my heart. Love, Grandma

Dominic stares at the passport. “Could this really be true?” he wonders. He reads the magic words: “Passport, passport, take me away! Show me somewhere wonderful today!”

Suddenly, a warm breeze swirls around him. His feet lift off the floor, and before he can blink he is flying through the air. WHOOSH!
